Caption: One for the Hamilton and TH&B fans - here we have Cndr. Lance Brown in the cab of RLK 4001 as they have a special, unusual move out of Dofasco's Bayfront facility, a damaged Dofasco locomotive. With the locomotive going to Hamilton's own Railcare for repairs, it did not go far, but I was pleased to be there to capture the moment on camera. Dofasco literally ships nothing by rail directly out of their Hamilton facilities, except the odd Locomotive or bottle car going for repair (every 10 years or so). However, I do believe Dofasco uses the services of the local CN and CP Steel Transfer facilities. The diamond in the foreground allows the bayfront lead to cross the former Coke Oven lead used for NSC storage cars, and Dofasco's plant is well hidden behind all that greenery unfortunately.
