Caption: Once again we see Erie Lackawanna detour train TC 100, this time emerging from the Hunter Street tunnel in Hamilton. It was one of 17 eastbound and 14 westbound trains which operated over TH&B/CP lines between Welland, Ontario and Delson, Quebec. 82 loads and 32 empties, according to George Horner's article.

Oh my.. this happened?? wow I would have never guessed.
At the March 23 2018 UCRS meeting in Hamilton Doug Page was in attendance and we had a chat with him about his Railpictures.ca profile, and specifically this photo.
And I’ll quote his words:
“I remember that day, I was driving to work and it was a dull grey day, and driving by the Hunter St TH&B station I saw the EL unit with two D&H about to enter the tunnel. Of course I had my camera with me, so I drove to the other side of the tunnel, and of course there were no fences”
And there you have it.
Doug is also very pleased to see 45,000 views on his work so far (and growing – we’re adding about 10k views every month)
At the moment Doug does not use the Internet so we have to tell him how it’s doing.
