Caption: On the home stretch to Toronto, GO Georgetown line train 208 with 558 taking point clatters through the switches at Bathurst Street with a load of sleepy commuters. Following on 208's heels in the distance, GO train 154 with sister F59PH 553 leading, has just entered the Union Station Rail Corridor at Strachan Ave, with a load of commuters off the Milton line.
The orange RFRX ballast cars on the service track on the right were for ongoing rail and switch maintenance work in the corridor at the time. Today (2013) the level crossing at Strachan is almost a memory, as a large trench to grade-separate Strachan has been dug, and the rails have been diverted to the south end of the crossing for its construction. Eventually, the whole corridor will go under Strachan Ave.
