I,d like to see A side view of this car.
Trying to find this on Google maps. Nice pic, Mike.
Pierre, I shot a few of the car, suppose I could post one. No roster shots though… big subject.
Cam, it’s the final curve before the tracks cross Brock Road and enter the Hydro compound.
Nice shot. I was the engineer on the train that day. The Schnabel car had to be moved at 1mph around the west leg of the wye at Pickering. The Hydro spur is used a couple times a week. 6 axle units are not normally permitted on industrial trackage. Special permission was given for that unit and I was restricted to 10mph on that track.
ngineered4u,
I was the one who shot you guys at Liverpool and Bayly St. Really cool move.
Thanks ngineered4u;
I assume the recycling plant and the water treatment are the regular customers on the spur, and served by 548 (or is it 546) out of Oshawa at night? Only ever seen the Hydro moves on the spur, and only once before.
I am not sure what customers are on that lead anymore, but there are a couple. Hydro moves are common though.
Looks like the Water Treatment plant, K&K Recycling, and Hydro One’s central maintenance facility (where HEPX 200 is stored) are all that is left on the spur. There appears to be a fairly new spur by the IMOS facility at the wye too.
