Caption: On a sunny early fall day, a set of Toronto Transit Commission T1 subway cars departs northbound from Rosedale Subway Station along the open section of the Yonge line, with car 5344 trailing. Built by Bombardier in 1996-2001, they were initially all assigned the Yonge-University-Spadina line out of Wilson Yard (and Davisville). Earlier deliveries were later moved to the Bloor-Danforth in the early 2000's to displace older H2 and H4 cars. New Bombardier Toronto Rocket deliveries starting in 2011 not only retired the last of the H-series cars, but eventually displaced that large remaining group of T1's (5136-5371) from the YUS to the BD line, which is now fully operated by T1's.
