On a dull March 9,1965, power in the yard at Mactier includes 4000-4419-8911 and an SW1200. The Trainmaster is somewhat unusual. A few of them came east each winter in the 60s to help with the grain rush and they were often used in transfer service around Toronto.

  1. Marvellous, as usual. It must be tough to get worked up over todays’ railroading.

  2. Great catch, time had almost run out for class unit 4000 by the time this photo was taken. In a few months, she would be one of the bunch traded in on new C424′s. 4419 behind was traded in for one about a month later.
