On a clear but cold day, the midday sun lights up the CN Wellington tower 1.05 miles south of Montreal's Central Station. In use until the early 2000's, it is now boarded up and out of use, though there has been talk about revitalizing it and putting it to use as a cultural centre. At right is the CN St-Hyacinthe sub, still busy with dozens of passenger trains a day.

  1. I like these pictures of the old structures that helped the railways operate. The graffiti “artists” are as active in Montreal as they are in Toronto.
