Caption: Odd Duck. CP GP9u 1518 sits at the diesel shop in CP's Toronto (Agincourt) Yard on a sunny day in shiny CP beaver paint. One of the early 80's GP9 rebuilds for yard service, 1518 was later equipped with two spark arrestors on her roof for switching inside the GM Oshawa automotive assembly complexes. She is also a "mother" to slug 1025 (coupled behind), another former GP9u (1534) that was converted to a slug in the early 90's after suffering an engine failure.
The ECO craze retired both, with 1518 and 1025 tied up unserviceable at Toronto Yard in December 2013, and unlikely to return to service or see a second life on a shortline.
