NS 1068, the Erie heritage unit, became the 2nd NS heritage unit to find its way in to Canada today on NS H3R from Buffalo. NS 8300, a former CR C40-8, made for a good companion on today's train, seen here lifting their first cut of US bound traffic out of the yard in Fort Erie. Murphy's Law, it came over from the US leading long hood forward and in the pooring rain.

  1. Great catch Rob!

  2. Thanks for the rain, Smith(s).

  3. Good stuff Rob! Glad that you caught this, when I caught wind of it I was hoping that someone would be able to get it and you did! Shame it wasn’t leading back to Buffalo though…oh well you saw and that is all that counts :)

  4. The sun was trying to come out when we were on the QEW, it only started to get cloudy and rain as we approached the tracks. It was a sure sign A.W. Mooney was in town…

  5. Wicked! Get a roster of the Erie unit?

  6. We were in Ingersoll when my brother got a text. It made for a lot of driving, but despite the rain the shots came out ok.

  7. At least you could drive and catch it! I got mine and was stuck in class looking at my Blackberry :(

  8. Heritage unit #2 into Canada, great work here!
