Nippy winter day, but great to be out. Having just emerged from under the Welland Canal, this short eastbound CP 5529, 5507, 5609 and 5566. Three SD40s and the last is an SD40-2. All are off the roster. The SD40-2 was the last to go, retired in 2006. Image shot using Kodak 400 medium format film, Mamiya 645 camera, and I am just off to the south side of the Hwy 140 bridge.

  1. Great shot Arnold, this is one of my favorite places!

Interesting to still see just one set of searchlights above the south track, I’m wondering if it was still owned by CN at this point?

  2. At this time CN still used the cayuga as well as NS with 145 and 146 to and from the Dain city intermodal terminal.
