My first photo of the 70067 does not show the blunt end of this car very well. It is a little blunt looking, for sure, on the other hand, there will be more living space inside. Myself, I like the style of the 61202 superintendent cars. A porch at each end so you can have a chair out the back, no matter which way you are going.

  1. Nice. Agreed, a platform on each end is preferred. That would be a smooth ride on those passenger trucks.

  2. Hi Terry. I checked into the history of this car. It first started out as an express reefer, which is where the high speed trucks came from (they are original equipment). There are a number of photos of those old express reefers in the green and black paint with gold trimmings. You are correct about passenger trucks, these cars spent a lot of time hauling perishables on the passenger train. I have not been able to find a date as to when it was converted to this service. Thanks :-)

  3. Thanks for the info.

  4. Looks like a former CNR 106xx Series Express Refrigerator Car
