Caption: Much has been written over the years about the mining in the ast central part of Northern Ontario, but little known to railfans is Boston Creek, amongst the most storied areas of them all. The location is now just an unincorporated hamelet of a handful of ramshackle houses at the end of a dead end gravel road. The ONR skirts thru the west side of it, and a drive in produced this shot of ONR 1804 about to enter thru the cut just north of the roadway. This is a territory in which to make sure you have your 'bug netting', every flying object around here seems to be overly hungry. ONR 1804 and 204 are on the head end today, a warm spring May 13, 2005; which accounts for all the bugs. After this train passed, it was a race for the car. How the moose can stand it, I don't know. The famed Adams Mine is located not far north of here.
