Caption: Leaving the climb out of the Welland Canal behind, the five CP C424 "Centuries" from before motor over the double crossing at Crowland Ave. and Biggar Rd. on the former Conrail CASO Sub (that had become CP's Hamilton Sub) as they near Montrose Yard in Niagara Falls with an acid extra. This slide was stamped as the next sequential number after the previous shot at Brookfield, so Reg probably gave chase and managed to get ahead of it here before it arrived at the yard.
Incidentally, this photo by Bill Thomson was taken at the same crossing on the CASO early in the Conrail era, but the train is heading in the opposite direction (having departed Montrose Yard).

Just looking thru some of these old shots. A pet peeve of mine is calling it the Conrail CASO Sub. It was always the Conrail Canada Division. CASO was never referenced until the CN/CP takeover of this line.
Thanks for the correction Dave, I’ll make a note of that for future uploads.
