Misplaced my notes. However, the slide is marked 'July 1978' and this is just your standard eastbound passenger train of the day coming off the Dundas Sub to Bayview & the Oakville Sub. The lead unit on this train, 6765 was retired by 1080 but has been preserved.
A number of units in the early years of VIA when painted to the corporate colours retained "CN" on the nose for a couple of years. Why?

  1. I enjoy the photos of a VIA nose with a CN logo. Talk about brand confusion. I think this may be one reason VIA may never bring this scheme back for a ‘heritage’ unit.. but I’d challenge ‘em to prove me wrong :)
