Caption: Many have seen photos of the CNR (later SOR) diesel shop in Hamilton, but here's the original engine servicing area during the transition from Steam to Diesel with RS18 3636, GP9 4509 and another sister GP9 in the old yellow and green livery. These facilities, built by the Great Western Railway, were all razed and modernised a few years after this photo was taken.
