L&PS L-1 is sitting just outside the L&PS car shop in this picture. The paint scheme on the locomotive was the only one I ever seen during my years of growing in that area. There was never any red paint around the windows and the doors were always dark green. This is a great picture and pictures do not lie. Had a short ride in one of these locomotive but can’t remember much about it.
Agree with you James, L-1 is at the Philip St. L&PS car barn yard. Not only are there multiple tracks with overhead, but 3 tracks over is wooden passenger trailer no. 7. Note the hopper car attached to L-1 is lettered L&PS. Brings back good memories of visits to the car barn yard in the mid-50’s and boarding traction enthusiast specials there. Thanks for posting, John
