LDSX 4003 is seen working the large HOPA Bioveld facility in Thorold, having just shoved around twenty boxcars onto the siding at left, and about to take another cut deep into the facility. Per the crew, the operation runs as needed, usually twice per week.

  1. That is a beaut, Jacob !!!

  2. Thanks, Arnold. A friend and I were over at Feeder and a crew member mentioned they were running. Got over here as they made their final few moves.

  3. Nice. I don’t seem to have the same luck.

  4. Terry, this is my sixth attempt at getting them. Drove by earlier that day and nothing was happening. Had the crew member not tipped us off we would have missed it.

Same goes for the Tube Spur. It tends to run about 3 times per week, also as needed. Have checked it 7 times and still no luck. I have found a GIO mechanic working on it a few times. Per the crew, the mechanic will usually start 108 shortly before they arrive. Seems I’d have shot it a few times had I known to wait.

  5. Thanks Jacob that is encouraging. Maybe on my next trip.

  6. Great image! I’ve yet to catch them working there but lots of old details to work into a shot there.

  7. Great photo Jacob.
