Last June, CP 318 dropped off CN 7300 (an SW1200RSm) at Exporail, as CN had donated it to the museum. Here it sits outside the shop area, where a trackmobile is barely visible. CN 7300 was built by GMD in London, Ontario as CN 1382 in 1960. CN rebuilt it in 1987 when it got its new number. A few months later CN 7300 was repainted into its original paint scheme.

  1. The way it should’ve been left

  2. I seem to be in the minority, but I have no problem with them repainting it.

  3. I agree with RLK. It doesn’t seem right to repaint it into its original scheme when it has been rebuilt. Although I do agree some need to have their original heritage restored, this just doesn’t seem like one of those cases. Regardless, nice photo Michael.
