This is a great catch.
This style of sign has been replaced by the red outlined, wordless, right angled cross for quite some time now.
Furthermore, even the old style crossbucks have been reflectorized for decades..wooden painted ones have been a rarity on active lines, for a long time.
I am surpised to see one of these in place anywhere in this era.

I debated posting it for a while for fear it would dissappear or end up in a dumpster. In my 50+ years I don’t think I’ve ever seen a wood crossbuck, and on a class 1 railway in 2015 no less.
