Caption: Just one of those days in which I wanted to go out no matter how crappy the weather. CP was still running 3 westbounds each morning between 0830-1230 and one of them, #441 was habitual with its SD40-2 locomotives for power. My prime target. This, after so many years of being 'tired' of them..........
I parked at the west side of Mountsberg Conservation area and walked down across the frozen stream, past the dam, to the railway where it crosses the reservoir and waited it out at the waters' edge. I have minimum 10 minutes warning usually when trains call Guelph Jct for permission west. This is a great location in good weather, but it IS an area in which an entrance fee is charged. NOT advisable to walk in from the closest sideroad. Anyway, out of the fog comes CP 5912, 6013 as #441 west. I've got a image with some mood to it, and am satisfied. Not long after this, #441 was abolished. Now, it is hit and miss to see anything along here, as most of the local fans know.
