Just for the heck of it, something a bit different. This is the 1984 Great Lakes Region Work Equipment crest applied to mugs, hats, pens, even flags (!) as well as miscellaneous CN track equipment. I am unsure how long this "promotion" lasted.

  1. Arnold, this logo brings back a lot of memories. I was the Superintendent of Operations for CN Work Equipment from 1984 through 1987 at CN Regional Headquarters 277 Front St. in Toronto. I relocated to System H.Q. in Montreal in late 1987 to become the Superintendent of Repair Facilities when the three eastern regions (Atlantic, St. Lawrence and Great Lakes) were combined to form CN Eastern Canada. The logo in your photo was replaced with a new ‘Work Equipment East’ logo in 1988.
