Caption: January 14, 1967 was a special day for fans of the Toronto Hamilton & Buffalo Railway, as the Upper Canada Railway Society ran an excursion covering TH&B and NYC lines (NYC owning 73% of the TH&B, CPR the other 27%) in Southern Ontario, and included utilizing an NYC GP9 on the point. Here, the train waits to depart Hunter Street station for the first leg of the trip, Hamilton - Waterford. From there, the train will run east on the NYC's CASO to Welland, where it will turn back west on the TH&B going Welland - Hamilton.
Bill Thomson shot the train at "Summit" near Copetown. Stay tuned for Doug Page's shot just across the tracks from Bill.

Thanks for the memory. My sister and I rode that excursion.
Talked to Doug.He remember’s two stories about this trip. First one was going up the hill towards Summit they had to stop;the brakes on the 7504 were dragging. The second one was them having to operate the train from the 402. Any more stories are welcome.
