I've driven by this spot a few dozen times on the way to Port Dover, wishing that one day I might get lucky getting something here. Imagine my delight when chasing 5273 down the Hagersville they stopped to work Nicholson-Cates on the old CNR Dunnville sub allowing me to place the train beside the well kept GTR station. Built in 1908 it was the foresight of Ron Clark who bought the station to save it from demolition - and thank goodness he did - what a great job Ron and the people of Caledonia have done, other communities would not be as lucky (ie: Ingersoll).

  1. Great shot, I’ve always tried for that shot but managed to miss it everytime.

  2. Was the structure moved away from the track or were there one or two tracks nearer to it?

  3. Track removed.
