It's somewhat of an easy night tonight with the water works downtown not asking for a switch, so we are relegated to Mimico with two remaining customers to switch and opted to pull the third from the jailhouse, just to make things easier for us tomorrow night. We wait for a few minutes to allow the last revenue GO Train 939 to fly past at Canpa before we are able to get a signal to shove off the north service and onto the Flincote to switch Atlas Roofing.

  1. Well done mister. Great pic.

  2. Outstanding photo!!

  3. The moon in this shot makes it very eerie. But it’s still cool.

  4. Very nice! Does this job operate out of Oakville? And in the middle of the night yes?

  5. Also what did you pull from the jailhouse? I actually model Atlas Roofing. The others at Mimico.. would that be Wakefield Lube and the Cement factory there?

  6. 543 operates out of Oakville with a 2100 start time. You have Wakefield (Castrol) off of track three, Atlas Roofing off the Flincote Lead, Point-One Graphics off the Jockley Lead. On the North Service, you have Quantex (using the old Emery property), National Silicates. Then on the jailhouse you have Metro Logistics and Distribution and finally on the south side, Lantic Sugar and the passenger car going in and out of the VIA TMC every Sunday and Tuesday.

  7. Thanks for the info CNCNDR. I have an old Car Control manual around somewhere. So the Clarkson Suncor job is a separate one out of Aldershot right?

  8. I keep trying to catch this train, unfortunately without luck though, great photo!

  9. Nice photo, you must have been aboard on July 30th, I took a photo of CN 543 crossing over Horner Ave. by the Jailhouse. I was around the Mimico yard last night (August 6th) and seen a few hopper cars lined up on the service, which weren’t there an hour prior. Very elusive this job is.

  10. Who switches St Lawrence Cement? Where does it originate? Train number please.

  11. Wow this is a gem!
