Its official, on December 20, 2012, Genesee & Wyoming announced that they had received U.S. Surface Transportation Board approval to control RailAmerica railroads. This will be a welcome change to the Southern Ontario Railway. The blue/white RaiLink scheme was always a favourite of mine, but with only RLK 3873 left in service in faded RaiLink colours, a matched pair of locomotives in the Genesee & Wyoming corporate orange/black scheme is something to look forward to in the new year.

  1. Rob what about rlk 4004? Not sure if it has turned a wheel in revenue service…..

  2. It’s 4003… has anyone seen it used?

  3. I do not think that 4003 has done anything since arriving at the SOR other than sit by the shops.
