Caption: It's no secret that overcast days have a silver lining and let you shoot angles that would otherwise be back lit. On May 6, I took the opportunity to do just that. SOR had called for a light down the hole and was headed for Bunge with empty tanks for the Edible Oil Facility (known to staff there as EOF - it is on the south side of Burlington Street east of Victoria Ave and is where the finished oil is loaded into tanks) and hoppers for loading soybean meal on the north side of the street. After dropping the tanks they shoved back west of Victoria Ave to clear the switch, and headed northbound towards Burlington Street as pictured here. If you are familiar with the area, the soybean meal hoppers are the ones you see east of Victoria Ave in front of Vopak, and hoppers on the bayside of the plant are loads of raw product such as canola. The soybean meal is the byproduct of the oilseed crushing and is used for animal feed. 4001 was trailing on this day, though you wouldn't be able to tell in the shot.
