Caption: It's a quarter to 10 at night, and the rush hour crowds have thinned out considerably. A well-worn TTC H5, 5770, trails a southbound train sitting on the upper platforms of St. George Subway Station, ready to head south down the University line to Union and beyond. With only a year and change left, the clock was ticking down not just for the end of the day, but the end of the fleet of ~140 1970's yellow-doored H5 subway cars, which were still easy to find at the time. Today there are none, replaced by shiny new Toronto Rockets and ho-hum T1 cars.
