Martin, are those your footprints we see in the snow? Imagine, 40 years earlier, those could have been my footprints. I crossed the tracks just that same side of Glendale, when heading to Merritton High School.
Yup, that was me looking for a good spot to shoot.
Not quite 40 years before this shot, I was crossing Glendale – just beyond the tracks the train here is on – and had a wish-I-had-a-camera moment. It was a summer’s evening, and – while heading to the tennis courts in Merritton – looked toward’s the train station, and the Merritt Street overpass, and saw a gorgeous sight. The sun was setting, with a beautiful red sky, and overpass was in shadows, as was the approaching train just about to reach and pass under the bridge. That would have been a terrific shot.
