Caption: It was somewhat of a successful Canada Day spent on the old Algoma Central. I don't recall the train number as this wasn't the tour train as it came ahead of it. There was also an interesting car on the tail end that looked similar to a transfer van, and a decent mix of cars on the train. I never had a chance to photograph any of the old Algoma Central GP7's so this was definitely not a bad consolidation prize. WC GP7U 1504 was rebuilt out of old AC 104, receiving a chopped short hood in the process. I was unfortunately only able to shoot one more of the former AC GP7's before the CN takeover and the disposing of the GP7 fleet. The small settlement of Hayden is located about 15km's north of Sault Ste Marie.
