Caption: It looks as though I am way out in the boonies, but the fact is, Sudbury is just beyond the barren hillside. The water tower is the proof. The fact that it is still April and the foliage has not yet taken bud makes this scene all that much more desolate looking. I'm on the shoulder of La Salle Blvd on the west side of town, and have captured CP 6062, 5808, 6072 and 8124 as it heads westward on a nice sunny mid-afternoon.

Nice SD40 lineup. I really do like the water tower. We used to have one just like it in north Edmonton by the stock yards and meat packing plants. It’s been gone 20 years or so (guesstimate).
I also remember that water tower in Edmonton. There was a proposal to build a restaurant in the tank….but who would want to have an aerial view of that particular part of Edmonton?
