It is late in the afternoon and the only surefire way to get a nice sun angle on the local transfer from Fort Erie back to Buffalo is either a 'going' shot or a side view. It was a bummer I missed the train coming over about an hour and half (so I was told) earlier.  Here is EL 1205 and 1200 heading back stateside. Behind the power out of sight is the old MCRR/TH&B station.  (Love that 'barrel' headlight on 1200!)

  1. So what was Erie Lackawanna doing in Fort Erie?
    Were they part of Conrail by that point?

  2. April 1 1976 was the formation of Conrail; these units had not been butchered (yet) with the “CR” stencil.
