Caption: It is hard to believe that Brantford was one of the most industrialized cities in Canada, served by three railways. Back in those days you couldn't even count all of the rail served industries on two hands, today you barely need one hand. Of the three railroads only one remains today, and the four lines that that ran through town are now down to two. CN today is the sole survivor and typically one set of four axle power does all of the cities switching. When needed the local heads down the Hagersville subdivision as far as Cainsville to serve a pair of industries, typically the job has one unit on either end of the train as there is no run around track. Rembos lumber is the last local Customer, and this day GP38 4770 headed to the industry to lift two cuts of empty lumber cars before dropping it's loads and then heading back to the main yard.
