Inspired by Matt Watson’s recent glorious view of CP 2816 eastbound at Swift Current (http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=54348), my memory jogged back 49+ years to my initial road trip to Saskatchewan, where a photo from a very similar perch on the 2nd Avenue E overpass now provides a “yesterday” view from Wednesday 1974-10-02. Train photos came later, down at ground level. That is No. 954 with CP 5641 + 8682 + 8704 in the distance.

  1. This scene sure hasn’t changed much over the years.

  2. Classic CP.
