Caption: In this wide angle scene, CP 8951 thunders across the 102 year old trestle above the Bronte Creek in Progreston, ON. The town of Progreston was established around mills that were powered by the nearby waterfall. In the early 1900s Progreston had become a manufacturing centre, however, by the 1950s Progreston had deteriorated to only a handful of residences. Today Progreston remains as a hamlet, part of Carlisle and part of the even larger Hamilton Area.
