Caption: In the year 1964, CN's facilities in Hamilton received a major modernization, with the construction of a new Diesel shop and Express building/Carload Centre. In this view from early 1964, we see the Great Western era steam facilities which were demolished later that spring; beyond the roundhouse you can see the old Yardmaster's tower. Visible in the photo are two MLW S4 locomotives (8163 and an unidentified unit), two SW1200RS units (1316 and another unit), and RS18 3677.
