In the prairies they're called slews, and they are colourful, full of different grasses, water vegetation and of course wildlife. They dot the landscape and I soon began to appreciate their beauty as compared to Ontario ponds.
CN 317 has just met eastbound 302 at Stenberg, and is passing a slew at MP 171.4 of the Rivers Sub.
