In the canyon of the Fraser River between Keefers and Chaumox, just a bit north of a bridge over the Nahatlatch River, a high and long gravel bank above a curve at mileage 113.5 provided a glorious elevated view of CP’s Thompson sub., and on Wednesday 1987-06-24 that perch was used to record a westward grain train with lead unit CP 5748 carrying Expo 86 markings and assisted by 5594 + 5772 + 5676.
