Caption: In the 80's, VIA ran 5 daily trains along the back route Toronto to London, all with various numbers of Budd Cars. It was all train order territory as well west of Georgetown. Here, 4 Budds are about to hammer the CP diamond on their way west.
I was lucky enough to work these jobs quite a bit when I was hired by CN in 1982. 3 hours and 20 minutes to London, with some really fast running west of Kitchener. Times were good.
