Caption: In somewhat of a response to Glenn Cherry's recent submission showing TRRY 1859 rolling along trackage that was newly laid in 1997 and the canal bridges in the background, I decided to dig up a shot of a train on that former lift-style Bridge 20. Unfortunately back then it was dicey at best to try and drive over bridge 21 to give chase, but rather follow the train on foot. And that was no piece of cake either. I did manage one shot on each side of the bridge plus this image taken as it is crossing westbound. But back then, with no zoom lens available, this was as good as it got. Pictured is CN 7166, returning to Port Colborne from Nickel, as indicated in an old CN timetable. The switcher is an SW8, built 1951 and whole series gone by 1989. I must have looked like some sort of deranged nut running around out there on a HOT day, but, well, we all have our weird habits.:o)

Excellent … you have made my day!
You, look like a deranged nut? Never…
