In September 2011 Ford would close their St Thomas assembly plant, ceasing 44 years of producing cars in Elgin County. A little more than two years prior to the closure, on a quiet Monday morning I found CN GP9RM's 4134-4140 resting outside the yard office at Talbotville awaiting their next call to service at the nearby plant.

  1. It’s amazing it’s all finished there.

  2. A wise man (or not so wise) might have said as I type this “it’s smart you captured this before it was gone, everyone else seemed to ignore it”

Great work Dave. Glad you did and shared. I was not so wise back then. Completely ignored Talbotville outside of shooting NS :)

  3. Nice overview photo of the yard David.
