'In Flanders fields the poppies blow'. Tomorrow is Remembrance Day, which is the anniversary of the First World War Armistice. The symbol of Remembrance Day in Canada is the Poppy, commemorated in John McCrae's poem 'In Flanders Fields'. This year VIA Rail has put a poppy on all of there business cars, as here on this VIA 1 car which is stopped at Dorval.

  1. Excellent work, to you and to VIA.

    Lest we forget.

  2. Lest we forget!

  3. Good on VIA!! And CP, assuming they maintain the tradition of stopping for 2 minutes. What seem like little things really do matter.

  4. CN also stops all yard movements for 1 minute and trains on the road ring their bells and blow the horns.
