In a fitting metaphor of what was to come, CN train 421 looms large over its much smaller G&W counterpart, both seen here doing the typical Stuart Street standoff on a pleasant Saturday morning in October. As of midnight tonight, CN resumes control of operations here. Their power has begun to show up, with CN 4762, GMTX 2248, GMTX 2264, and CN 7058 now taking up residence in the yard.

  1. Thats as full as I have ever seen this yard.

  2. It’s been pretty jammed lately. 331 couldn’t even make their Hamilton set off the other day. Had to do it in London instead. Things certainly are bustling in Hamilton.

  3. All the way to London @jknott86? No room in the likes of Brantford or Paris?

  4. Yes, that’s the instruction they received that I overheard on the scanner.
