Caption: If you're seeing this today, come on up! The Guelph Historical Railway Association in conjunction with Doors Open Guelph, the Guelph Junction Railway (vis a vis City of Guelph) and Goderich Exeter Railway and the Locomotive 6167 Restoration Committee are putting on a display today and all are welcome. The caboose is open for tours. Open until 5 PM today only in downtown Guelph - a stones throw away from the GO station. This is all part of Doors Open Ontario and the railway event is a big hit for folks of all ages, especially the kids. We have tonnes of freebies from Operation Lifesaver, and Genesee-Wyoming to hand out too. No charge for all events. Parking is free downtown. Plenty of time for folks to come up!
We hope to do this again in future years, but we've already had a couple hundred people come through everything today. Thanks to the GEXR for hauling the caboose and putting a locomotive as part of the display - help is much appreciated.
