Caption: I wish I had Spent more time chasing CN’s M420 fleet but when I started Railfaning in the mid 90’s I was always short on time, and soon most were gathered in VIA Rails Toronto yard awaiting disposition. CN 3568 was one of those M420’s that was lucky enough to escape the scrapers torch. Today it is still alive and well on the Oil Creek & Titusville Railway and wears a beautiful coat of PRR inspired paint. Over the years I caught the unit in a few different paint jobs. Although owned by the NYLE the 3568 spent a number of years on Trillium Railroad based out of Tillsonburg, and eventually received a coat of Trillium paint. Eventually it made its way back Stateside to the NYLE and finally the OCTR. This day some 21 years ago the unit was laying over in Tilsonburg with partial Trillium paint. Eventually the grey undercoat would give way to flat black. It’s nice to see GIO Rail operating the remains of the Cayuga subdivision but I miss the MLW’s that worked for Trillium the most.
