I was sitting out at the end of Howard Rd in Aldershot when this eastbound came thundering thru. I should mention that this was once a great place to park and wait; as the dead end road had a little bit of grassy area alongside the tracks. However, the construction of the third rail (for GO) killed this spot and now what there is left is off limits.
Had the 4x5 Graphic in hand this day, and almost didn't get this shot away due to a bit of fumbling, which sometimes happened when I was in a rush. Interesting assortment of power; CN GP9 #4536 long hood forward, followed by C-630M #2039, F7A #9175, GP40-2(W) # 9584 and B&LE SD9 #825 trailing.
That is Lemonville Rd bridge on the left background.

  1. A nice looking weathered consist.

  2. I hung out here a couple times with Bill MacArthur. During construction too….

  3. It is still accessible because I have gone there without any problems

  4. Great shot of the 4536 with the stripes going the wrong way!!

  5. Bruce: Yes, it is still accessible but I was more thinking of the days when we could drive up, park on the grass; bring out the lawnchairs and have a cool one or two. Often a half dozen of us would hang out and there was lots of room.

  6. Sheesh. Could you post something with a little more variety next time? :-)

Since it’s GMDD-MLW-EMD you could make the case that this is also a 3-builder lashup, sort of.

  7. Jakob: Sorry about that, but all the RSC-13s were in the shop this particular day. :o )
