I was returning home from Nova Scotia to Ontario after Christmas and had stopped for the night somewhere around Drummondville or Ste. Hyacinthe. When I woke up in the morning there was about a foot of snow down. I knew that even with the reduced traffic due to the holidays I did not want to try to get through Montreal during the morning rush hour. So, I headed south to Farnham to see what was happening on the Canadian-American. There was quite a bit of activity, I remember shooting a train switching at the east end of the yard and this train switching the west end with Bangor & Aroostook 356 leading. After a few hours in Farnham I headed west and drove out of the snow by the time I got to the Ontario border.

  1. Good caption. I wondered what the heck you would be doing around there in the winter.
    Great image, though.

  2. I’d never think cp would take this back.
