Caption: I know there has been a multitude of shots of the Weed Spraying Train but being the foamer that I am, I was itching to share another action shot, this time on the Hamilton Sub. First of all, thanks to Eric Portelli for the timely FPON post that this train was going to be tied down at Guelph Jct. overnight May 22 into the 23rd. Thinking it would be a long shot, I went to Guelph Jct. to check for it Tues. May 23 morning (a little diversion from my usual path to work). It wasn't there; I was too late. At this point, I still had no scanner on and no solid information that it was going to run south on the Hamilton Sub (but I had a feeling it would). So, because I work in Hamilton, I followed the line south. At one crossing, I saw what appeared to be the tail end of a train. Then I took a road semi-parallel to the line, and I got it!
Not taking any chances, I hustled to Hamilton West, and here it is, trundling southbound towards the Hammer at about 08:20. This is definitely one of those 'rare' train locomotives so I'm happy I got the chance to shoot it. Despite the long commute from K-W, there are benefits to working out of town :) (and lots of tunes during the commute!!!)

No wonder I didn’t see you – I was on York Rd with a couple other fellers you know.. you were in, and out I bet! I went to kinnear afterwards.

Eventually. I like to let others post – I step aside generally and post later unless I was the only one at a location and I feel it’s newsworthy (posting sooner rather than later is beneficial)
I wasn’t the only one at Kinnear, and with all the D&H photos, I’m going to just sit on them for later.
Kevin the train SHOULD have been much earlier. The crew arrived around 0530-0600…
Thank god it was as late as it was, it provided some perfect photo opportunities that would have been shadowed in otherwise.
