I heard some new power was coming over on CN from Erie. Not knowing just where the train was, I elected to shoot from this location because open areas along Niagara without shadow are not that easy to find. The offending sumach bush by the mile indicator was not cut because I was afraid the train would come if I wandered down there. Anyway, this train #334 was indeed a treat, and nowhere else would I have gotten all these units in after 1500 hrs that day. Seen are: CN 5684, 5447, 5269, 2669, 2661, 2670, 2666, 2665, 2662, 2664, 2660, 2667, 2659 and 2663.

  1. Wow…. that’s a lot of hardware.. and a very valuable train ;)

  2. Sometimes you don’t have to go very far for a great photo.

  3. No kidding its valuable. All these millions of Canadian dollars spent in Erie, PA while the government was pleading for us to buy our milk, eggs and beer in Canada. :o )

  4. Thanks, Rob.
And here I am waiting for about 6 units and probably on the North track………

  5. Frig, 2002???? Now aren’t these the ones going to rebuild in Texas???

Also nice shot – funny how all the train photos of “20+ engines” on a train are in the Niagara region, whether for Delivery or scrap..

  6. Can you say, “Getting Old”, Mr. Host? And I am not referring to the locomotives. :o )
