I don’t know about everybody else, but I could spend all day watching Geeps flat-switch cars around. Today, that's all I was hoping for, but in addition to switching I was lucky to time my arrival at James St. with the departure of 567, leaving for Port Robinson. Actually, he was trapped on the north track while SOR/Railink/G&W 4003 came back from the industrial spur (known as “the Hole”) a few minutes later. The switching had further interest because, as I would come to learn, 4001 (seen above 4615) was having some technical issues. I don’t remember the details, but some kind of electrical issue lead to difficulty moving strings around. Note there are two or three pile-drivers along at the west end of the yard along the hillside, presumably some GO improvements. Also, looks like some unpainted NSC covered hopper cars in the yard. By the way, it was nice meeting you John!
