Hostler/Mechanic Apprentice Tom Nichol rides on RS-23 505 as the mechanical crew shuffle power around preparing for the 1400 job which would be on duty soon. I brought a little something with me from the collection of the Guelph Historical Railway Association to pose it on the station beside the recently placed OSR signs. Located near the site of the old Guelph Junction Station, this building was built in 2016-2017 by OSR to provide crew and office quarters. It's still there, still owned by OSR and leased to GEXR (but on GJR property, it's complicated!) but the Guelph Junction signs were removed by OSR upon their departure. G&W safety signs now adorn this building typical of their usual corporate branding and safety culture awareness strategy.

  1. Did the station shrink?? I don’t remember it this size

  2. Locomotives are just bigger than we think :)

  3. Do you know if there are any photos showing the full station building?

  4. Search Guelph Jct. for a picture by Arnold Mooney..There is a green VW parked in front of station

  5. Matthew, for the new building, of course, but I have it offline.

The building is still there too, now used by GEXR crews.
